Game elements to promote walking in thais working adults

Abstract

The practical physical activities to reduce risks of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and to increase health benefits in Thai working adults is to walk. The alternative of public health recommendation on physical activity is a ten-Thousands step per day walking that equivalent to moderate-intensity physical activity with one-hundreds-fifty minutes per week. The interventions with using game elements in the gamified system were considered to customize in age classification. The results indicated that the participants in the experimental group who got the intervention program with the game elements: goals, progression, points, and steps counter, that be implemented in the gamified application have a value of walking steps per day is higher than the participants in the control group.
