Abstract

Because of achieving high efficiency power conversion, switching power converters are widely used. About the switching power converters, pulse width modulation (PWM) technique is used to produce switching pattern. But this scheme causes large switching noise peak components at the multiple numbers of carrier frequency. And this raises problems of clearing noise regulations. This paper proposes a novel type dc-dc boost converter which is able to suppress switching noise components. The proposed converter introduces delta-sigma modulation circuit. To be used for dc-dc converter, delta-sigma modulation circuit is improved. And it is clarified that the proposed dc-dc converter can reduce switching noise components. © 2011 IEEE.
