Abstract

In the title compound, [Ni(C<inf>45</inf>H<inf>34</inf>BN <inf>6</inf>)(C<inf>10</inf>H<inf>9</inf>N<inf>3</inf>)]Br·CH <inf>2</inf>Cl<inf>2</inf>, the NiII atom is five-coordinated by the tridentate hydrotris-(3,5-diphenylpyrazolyl)borate ligand and a bidentate di-2-pyridyl-amine ligand in a distorted square-pyramidal geometry. In the crystal, intermolecular N - H⋯Br and C - H⋯Br hydrogen bonds link the Ni complex cations and the Br- ions, forming a chain along the c axis.
